Physical anthropology and inductive reasoning in domestic scientific literature - the basic paradigm for research and argumentation on human physical activity

Abstract

The aim of the research was to provide an objective review of leading scientific journals and collections of papers by the determination, comparison and analysis of the number and the type of studies with respect to the research methods and techniques used in them, and the most commonly investigated structural spaces in terms of anthropological qualities of man. Following the analysis of the theoretical aspects of anthropology and its division into biological, social, cultural, philosophical and theological anthropology on a sample of representative scientific journals and collections of conference proceedings and graduate theses and dissertations from the field of human physical activity in the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries in Serbia. As a young scientific discipline, physical culture requires a new approach, a bold new paradigm on philosophical thinking as yet undeveloped third component layer of science. Only then could the process of objective knowledge in physical culture become holistic. The trends in the development of methodology and the knowledge resulting thereof have proved insufficient in deductive reasoning; therefore, a new generation of researchers in physical culture should be aware of the need of a new research paradigm.
