Abstract
Editor-in-Chief's Announcement In front of us is the paper presented at the A-Licence seminar for soccer coaches held in Belgrade in 2009. The Editor-in-Chief maintains that the paper considers an interesting view of an enduring issue that has been eluding a satisfying solution: how to quantify work done in training. A tentative theoretical and practical step forward in this direction lies in the author’s proposed quantification and ensuing unification of the outcome of training according to the International System of Units, instead in the number of repetitions, vaguely defined effort intensity rates, effects and tendencies of training work. Without a deeper scrutiny of the scientific accuracy of the presented figures but wishing to highlight the contribution toward a novel approach to quantification of training work, we would like to thank Prof. Milenko Milošević for authorizing the publication of his work in Serb J Sports Sci. As in all spheres of human activity, only time will show who has been a truer visionary, and to what extent – the renowned professor, or the editor, or both.
Sincerely yours,
Milivoj Dopsaj
